Idealogy: Total Artistic Creative Freedom The NorthStar Production Group was first established in 1999 out of Richmond, VA under the vision of M'KE (Charlotte, NC), for the sole purpose of returning Hip Hop to her Glory In 2001 Writah (Dillon SC) and M'KE collaborated on their first single 'I Know You Feeling This' and the rest, as they say was history They realized that they had something special Something, that many in the business still strive for Unique, meaningful lyrics with explosive beats A synergy of word and song that is unparalleled to any other Their performances take Hip Hop to a level it hasn't seen since it's emergence in the early 80's Captivating the audiences with music while educating them on reality In the winter of 2007 M'KE will set the tempo with his first album release under NSPG entitled '2084' A concept that echoes the year he was introduced to Hip Hop and the age he embarked on his quest to change the world thru music He introduces his passion for the Hip hop with 'So Fresh', a track reminiscent of the 80's Hip Hop movement His refreshing view on the state of Hip Hop is always at the forefront of his music and is manifested thru tracks like 'Can't Hold Back' and 'Never Stop Runnin' M'KE believes that the day of the rapper is long gone 'Hip Hop didn't die, she grew up'! 'Whatever It Takes' along with 'Testify convey the struggles of dealing with an industry ravaged with lies and deceipt His exposes the trait that binds rappers together, while seperating MC's and Hip Hop artist in a compostion called 'Ressurection' 'Lett'm Know' is a classic in itself being that it is wrapped in a classical packaged and delivered in the spirit of some of our late greats who echoed similar sentiments M'KE is constantly working to ensure that '2084' is the most anticipated Independent Album to ever grow from grassroots
